Question 1

What is OETlab?

Accepted Answer

OETlab is an evaluation service for the OET Writing sub-test (Medicine). We evaluate your referral letters using a fixed, rule-based protocol mapped to the six official OET criteria, with an independent quality review by a doctor on every report.

Question 2

Who is OETlab for?

Accepted Answer

Doctors preparing for the OET Writing sub-test (Medicine).

Question 3

What do I actually receive?

Accepted Answer

A PDF report, usually 10 to 20 pages. It is not a marked-up copy of your letter. It works through your letter criterion by criterion against the six official OET criteria, shows what cost you marks and why, and gives you the corrected version of each problem sentence.

Question 4

How does the evaluation work?

Accepted Answer

Submit your case notes and referral letter as a file upload, pasted text, or a URL. Your letter is evaluated using a fixed, rule-based protocol mapped to the six official OET criteria covering conciseness and information selection, case note accuracy and criterion alignment, and professional tone and genre — with an independent quality review by a doctor on every report.

Question 5

How long does feedback take?

Accepted Answer

Usually within 24 hours of submission.

Question 6

How much does it cost?

Accepted Answer

A single evaluation is $8, a 5-evaluation bundle is $35, and a 10-evaluation bundle is $60. Unlimited plans are $29 for 1 week and $49 for 2 weeks.

Question 7

What payment methods do you accept?

Accepted Answer

Payment is arranged directly over WhatsApp, and we accept international cards and regional methods.

Question 8

Can I ask follow-up questions after receiving my report?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can ask clarification questions on your report directly over WhatsApp.

Question 9

How is this different from basic proofreading?

Accepted Answer

It is not just a correction. Each letter is evaluated against the official OET criteria, so you receive criterion-level feedback on what actually affects your grade — not only surface grammar fixes.
